The first Bluebird office was in a delightful vintage commercial space on SE Clinton Street that I spent months transforming and restoring. For 5 years, it played host to a multitude of art shows, movie nights, game nights, book club meetings, baby showers and birthday parties. However, when the lease was up, I realized that I could no longer in good conscience continue to pay off someone else’s building and needed to practice what I preach; that owning real estate, not renting, is the key to financial stability and generational wealth. Therefore, since then, the Bluebird office has found itself in many places – new homes and vintage homes and will maybe land in another commercial space someday, but only if I own it. I love finding beautiful structures and spaces where I can create an inviting atmosphere for my clients, guests and friends to gather. Although it may continue to migrate around Portland over the years, you can count on the Nest to be a space that is dedicated to creating community with its neighbors and those it serves.
Here’s to many more years of dream house discussions, game nights, BBQs and fun gatherings together!
